Aralco produces sugar, anhydrous and hydrous ethanol, for domestic and foreign, seeking satisfy its customers. Currently all production is marketed through the COPERSUCAR, which is associated since 2010.
Ethanol – Product obtained from fermentation of sugarcane juice. Hydrous ethanol is used as fuel for cars powered by ethanol and anhydrous ethanol is used in the mixture of gasoline, in order to reduce carbon emissions. The percentage of blending is determined by the government and can vary from 18 to 25%. Sugar – Product of crystallization of sucrose contained in the juice of sugar cane. The Aralco manufactures sugar and crystal sugar for packaging and marketing under the brand DOCYTO.The production mix is about 40% of sugar and ethanol 60%.
